Ocean Twins 38 - 1991
Year of issue: 1991

The Ocean Twins 38 designed by Pat Patterson Built by Cornish Catamarans Ltd was the last model to come out of the yard in Cornwall in 1991.

The success of the Heavenly Twins model propelled Pat to build the next generation of larger cat, which was a much more purposeful design, built for long distance cruising.

Competing against the Prout and not to mention the Catalac in its day this was definitely a Challenger and a much more roomy boat ideal for a small family with three large double berths and two heads. Also a couple of small singles (really passage berths) ideal for kids.

With the mast set right back with a smaller main sail with a large furling genoa and staysail similar idea to the modern day Lagoon idea with all the lines led back to the cockpit making this a very easy boat to sail.

Being a centre cockpit layout and making this a very safe catamaran for those with small children or pets.

The catamaran boasts an unbelievably spacious interior well laid out with galley down but because of the design the chef is not going to feel left out of the action as it feels very "open plan". With large flat decks it has a great deal of usable deck space for its size.

The Ocean Twins is well balanced with engines placed amidships with shaft drive coupled with three blade reversing propellers making it easy and accessible for maintenance and not having to take your bed apart to get to everything.

"Mabs" certainly has not had a hard life and has been well looked after and it shows and just had a major engine service in March 22.
This would be a great live aboard option with generous headroom through out. The cat is fitted with keel shoes making it easy to dry out on the slip in tidal waters and is well equipped for world cruising.
In conclusion this is a great buy and will make some buyer very happy with their purchase and I am sure the owner will listen to serious offers.
