ISARA 50ft - 2014- $1.175 million
ISARA 50ft - 2014- $1.175 million
This ISARA 50 Must be one of the worlds best luxury catamarans in this size range.
If you are just going to purchase a Lagoon or similar for the same kind of price think twice Charlie Brown because this just knocks spots of anything you may have laid your eyes on. Easily more spacious than some 60 footers...
Worldwide Catamarans were the original Dealers for this promising range of catamarans and sadly only two were built and the other I believe suffered some extensive hurricane damage
The unique styling and space offered by stepping the mast on a carbon arch allowing the saloon to be pushed much farther forward grants an amazing large spacious saloon for the size of catamaran. Built at the well known TAYANA shipyard in Taiwan in 2014
I have know the owner of this catamaran for near on 20 years and if he hears a squeak or a rattle it drives him crazy. If it needs fixing its fixed, ha!
He constantly throws money at the boat and has to have the latest gadgets and kit. No expense is spared when it comes to the safety of his family and his beloved boat.
The owner has owned it for 4 years and there
Any lucky buyer that takes this catamaran of his hands will have something quite special. The owner is also willing to spend some time going through the systems of the boat and go sailing with you to make sure you are completely comfortable with all of the systems on board and hand the sails and manoeuvring with confidence, which is priceless for any buyer.
My only advice on this ISARA 50 is BUY IT, BEFORE SOMEONE ELSE DOES!!!
Steve and his family have shared many happy adventures on "Chasing Waterfalls" and documented every moment, worth checking out their adventures on the links below:
Steve also wrote a summery of the catamaran below, which is worth a read and added a few useful links which are also worth checking out:
SV Chasing Waterfalls is a 52' Luxury Sailing Catamaran built by the renowned boat builder, Tayana Yachts. 4 cabin with owners version on the port side and including midship bunk beds on the starboard, this boat is designed to world cruise, is very strong with thick hulls and over built rigging, etc. Everywhere you look on this boat, it has more than it needs which adds much comfort for those who are planning a serious voyage. There were only 2 built, this is the second hull and no expense was spared in the design. From gorgeous sailing lines, spiral stainless steel staircase to the room flybridge to mechanics and systems, this boat is appointed to sail in any condition and as long as you want to go. See the link to the Isara webpage for specs. Reading through the survey is informative and worth the time spent. It will give a person extreme confidence in the build, electrical, plumbing, hull, etc. The surveyor was very impressed. She has had a lot of improvements over the 4 years as you will see below and optimally maintained.
Past 4 years: She sold for $1.4 million in 2014 new, I purchased in 2017 and I have put $285,000 of amenities into her and it has taken our crew from Ft. Lauderdale through the Caribbean, Columbia, Panama, Galapagos, French Polynesia and now up here to Hawaii over the past 4 years. COVID-19 initially slowed our circumnavigation and brought us to Hawaii from French Polynesia but life changes have now ended the journey. My wife is a German Doctor and has an opportunity to complete residency here, the kids are loving school so we are planting our roots. It looks like with these changes, we now have a 10-year plan in Hawaii. This means at some point, our vessel may be available for sale.
