Yacht Port Cartagena must be one of the top two of WORLDWIDE CATAMARANS friendliest marinas in Spain. They are friendly to just about everyone, not only to catamarans. Charging the same for a catamaran as they do monohulls, make them a magnet for cruising cats touring the Med, but also for winterising out of season. They can accommodate Superyachts and even the worlds largest catamarans.
The staff are a real delight to deal with and speak excellent English. Mamen is the Marina Manager, she, together with the rest of the team, Julia, Mar and Rosario are extremely helpful. The sailor crew (Mariners) are also always on hand to help with berthing and the whole place has a warm fuzzy feeling about it, which has a lot to do with the staff and Management!
There is a large friendly ex-pat community of live aboards, English, Americans, Australians and Europeans, who spend winters in the marina and will instantly make you feel welcome, there is always something going on like weekly BBQ's, and get togethers, if you feel like socialising.
Facilities at the marina are great with nice clean shower blocks, on site laundry facilities. They even have a client Internet cabin on site. On the whole it's a nice place to stay and visit and many cruising Yachts never get any further as they fall in love with the place and do not want to leave.

We have our own resident service engineer John Snow who operates local to the marina with his wife, Jenny who are reasonably priced and reliable and nice people to do business with. John is a Marine Electro Mechanical engineer, also excellent with GRP repairs, in fact he is what it says on the tin - One Stop Yacht Care, as he can normally take care of anything. You hear the expression Jack of all Trades and Master of none, well John truly is Jack of all trades and seems to have mastered them all.
