- Lovely Jaguar 36 Owners layout ready for handover a real rare opportunity these catamarans just do not come up that often Excellent condition throughout.
If you are looking for a catamaran in this size range viewing this beauty is a real must!
What else can you buy on the market that can compare to this, not a lot, is the answer, a Gemini, a Tom Cat, a Fountaine Pajot Mahe 36 maybe an Adventura or a Broadblue, but to be honest this one offers the best value for money. The catamaran is well built, in great condition and a real go anywhere pocket luxury cruiser.
Built by the troubled company Charter Cats in South Africa. The company went into liquidation and the original owner took the boat away from the yard and had this boat completed by the employees of the defunct company, who made a superb job of completing the boat to a high standard. This is why this one is a little bit special in comparison to others built by the company. I am in contact with the original owners, who are even considering buying it back!
They sold the cat to a Superyacht Captain, who spent, even more, money on the boat with the addition of glass windows, and lined the interior bare glass cupboards and the only reason for selling were to buy a larger catamaran.
Vik, her current owner, has kept the catamaran in tip top condition with no expense spared on maintenance, upgrading electronics and adding yet more equipment. He loves the catamaran, but business commitments are preventing him from spending much time on the boat.
The Jaguar 36, in general, has a superb layout and for its size, it has an unbelievable amount of space on board. With the saloon and cockpit on the same level, combined with bi-fold saloon doors, it really opens up the outdoor/indoor accommodation.
The aft platform allows easy launch and recovery from the tender which neatly sits on the platform supported by davits. The two aft seats on the stern transom make an ideal reading place when underway.
The South Africans are well known for building strong cruising catamarans capable of sailing in South African waters, where if they can cut it there they can cut it anywhere!
This one is a must see if you are looking for any catamaran under 40ft.
